DESCRIPTION:In our ongoing effort to keep communication open and to help you stay connected with others\, we've set up another video conference call\, Session 7 of the 2021 of the Staying Engaged as a Community Sessions on Friday\, September 3 at 1 p.m.\n\n\n\nWe will have a guest speaker and allow participating members to 30 to 60-second business presentations.\n\n\n\n \n\nGuest Speaker: Megan Katona\, Special Olympics-Texas\n\nTopic: Upcoming Community Engagement Opportunities with Special Olympics Texas\n\n \n\nJoin us to learn more about Special Olympics Texas and information about some of their upcoming competitions\, events\, and programming.\n\nThis opportunity is only available to our Chamber Members.  If you would like to participate in our 'live' video call\, please RSVP and we will provide you the link to the event.  As a side note\, we ask that you not share the link to the call with anyone else.  If someone else you know is interested\, we ask that you put them in touch with us so we can have discussion with them.\n\n\n\nAlthough we desire inclusivity\, we also want to protect the investment you've made in your business by joining as a member and ensure we don't open ourselves up to cyber-attacks and unprofessional conduct from those that do not share our values.\n\n\n\nMegan Katona is the Development Director for Special Olympics Texas covering Austin and San Antonio. She has worked for SOTX for just over one year and is responsible for all fundraising and outreach initiatives. Megan's duties include grant writing\, volunteerism\, fundraising\, sponsorships\, donor relationships\, and more! She was born and raised in San Antonio and aside from the four years she was attending Rutgers University as a student-athlete in New Jersey\, she has lived here her whole life.
